“Cochon de lait,” meaning milk-fed pig, is a cherished tradition rooted in both French and Louisiana culture. In France, it reflects a simple, refined preparation. In Louisiana, it becomes something more—slow-roasted, richly seasoned, and shared in joyful community. For our family, cochon de lait is more than a meal—it is a gathering, a celebration, and a legacy. The Cochon de Lait Center has held many family gatherings—one being our 2026 family reunion. Through generations, we have come together in love, laughter, and remembrance at the Cochon de Lait Center, carrying forward a tradition that connects our past to our present. Mansura is known as the Cochon de Lait Capital of the world.
